While driving back from the very Manitoban town of Miami yesterday, I run into this impromptu car show on the side of the road. The sun was shining very intensely; since I don't have any filters other than my UVs, you'll have to forgive some light issues here. (In other words, say hallo to the halo.)

Fill flash was used on all of these, although I don't suppose it made any difference in the last one.

Thanks for looking.

P.S.: Did I capture a meteor shower in #3?

Number 2 was only seconds away from being thrown out the window due to the sky on the far left being blown out. Then I remembered PhotoJet's war cry and decided this was going to be a square crop.

Thanks KMann, Fox Paw and Walter!

I'm glad you didn't bin that one. It's such a beauty.

Nothing wrong with creative cropping. I'll see things that I know don't fit my sensor's format, and purposely shoot around it, knowing that I'll be cropping later to fit what I was envisioning.

And then sometimes, a certain crop just makes sense for the lines and shapes that were captured, as you look at the image later.

Thanks again. Truth is, I rarely ever delete a photo, even when I don't feel I can fix it. I always hope to one day be able to revive seemingly unsalvageable shots. You know, much like Walt Disney being frozen patiently waiting for a new technology to bring him back to life :)

Thanks MissMia! I hadn't shot cars like these since mid-2008, so your m.o.p.a.r. photo was an obvious inspiration to shoot these babies.
