Ok the stacked shot is taken from a little further away, but with the same gear and setup as the single shot - just that it was easier to work a little further back since I was handholding the stack - that is to say machine gun the shot and move closer each time the shutter fired - I did lose 2 frames to this due to flash recycle times, but the end result came out well enough to be stacked.
All taken with Canon 400D, sigma 150mm macro, Raynox DCR 250, spedlite 580M2 and lumiquest softbox (off camera)
