Kodak makes it official after months of speculation. A couple of links:

I still use a lot of Kodak products, but they lost me fundamentally when they discontinued HIE a few years back.

It will be interesting to see what they do with their analog division. Tons of wonderful products - and patents on those products.

Hey Terri...I dont mean to hijack your thread, but this is a shot of when I got into what was left of the Kodak factory here. Only "building 9" remained of the mini metropolis that used to be Kodak.

Since this shot was taken, the building has been set on fire twice.

Sad news.

^^^ That's a fantastic, evocative shot, Carl. It really is mind boggling to think of the freefall Kodak has undergone since digital cameras became affordable.

I recall reading that Kodak invented the digital camera but couldn't make it a commercial success. Xerox pretty much invented the personal computer; ditto.

Sorry to see this.

That shot is amazing, Carl! It has a lot of power.

It's hard to see giants fall, especially when they are so intrinsically wrapped in our pasts, not just as part of a hobby. I am anxious to see how it all plays out.
