I think there are a few basic changes. They added a module specifically for those who make photo books. They improved the development module to make it work more efficiently. I probably won't bother with the Beta, but will likely upgrade when the official version is released.

I spoke too soon. I don't care about photo books, and I seldom use anything but the library and develop modules, but some of the enhancements in the develop module look very useful. I've been wanting local noise reduction and white balance controls.
