This is the nomination thread for The Beat's bi-weekly photo contest, for pictures posted on the forum from October 16th-31st, 2011 inclusive. Members may nominate up to three photographs posted by others during this time period. You cannot nominate your own images. If a photograph has already been nominated, please don’t nominate it again as it will already be on the list. And if you nominate a shot posted outside of the applicable time period, it will be ineligible.
To nominate a photo, please add it to this thread, and include
-the thread title from where the image was originally posted;
-the name of the photograph (if there was one posted); and
-the screen name of the photographer
On the evening of November 3rd, a voting poll will be added to this thread so that you can see the nominated images in the same thread as you will be voting. Voting will remain open for 4 days after the poll is posted.
In the event of a contest tie, the mods/admins will be asked if they haven't yet voted. If they haven't, they must pick between the tied images to break the tie. If all the mods/admins have already voted and there is still a tie...then they will vote again amongst themselves, on only the tied images, to declare a winner. [So in a nutshell, in the event of a tie, the mods/admins will perform the tie-breaking.]
