He hangs out in my front yard and chases the rabbits away from the water bowl!

I shot this through a double pane window.
Thanks for looking!

You got such good colours on his throat scales. Good work, especially given you shot through a window.
(How big are these guys? 20 inches?)

I like him - nice colours :)
Something odd is going on on the rock though I feel - it just looks unnatural - you were using -1 exposure compensation and it looks like you were countering bright daylight sun in the shot - which for the most part has worked well. I am not sure if you have edited the rock or if that is the way it came out - it just looks strange to my eyes.
edit - its late - I missed the window comment - - and that might account for the stranger look to that rock
As for photobucket - do the resizing yourself - resize to a smaller size in your editing program - run it through sharpening again (not as much is needed, just a little to restor lost details) and then upload to photobucket - provided the shot is within the limits on the site then it should not suffer from compression on the site :)

Part of the problem was the very bright sun reflecting off of the 'rock'. The rock is actually a mineral/salt lick that I put out for the animals. I did not edit the rock at all, just burned in a couple hot spots in the background.
Thanks for the tips on PhotoBucket. I never do any editing with them. I always resize in PS-CS3 and then upload. I am looking at the same file offline and it is much sharper.

Ooh, you've got the coolest friends in your yard... Nice shot, and bonus points for producing this through a double-pane window.

Nice shot, MissMia. I'm not familiar with that critter.
I also hate the compression of Photobucket. On the other hand, it's free. :)
