Hey, nice going! Both of these look fantastic!

I like the lens hood and filters that came with the Minolta. Wow - you'd search far and wide to get those kinds of accessories these days for that model! Great find.

They don't make beautiful hard leather cases like these anymore. How gorgeous are they??

Nice find indeed! Are you going to post some pics taken with it??

Aye, I'll post some. I've got a roll in the Minolta at the moment. I was holding out for a Minolta 24 Rapid but they use a special film cassette which most of the ones I find have missing. Three of those filters are close-up ones, but I've no idea of their scale nor what the other one is. Interesting, for me, is that in its little pouch was a scaling advice table for the close-up filters from their manufacturer. They were based/made in the town I live. :)

Stumbled across the AL when searching and he also had the Yashica going dirt cheap so I took a punt and grabbed it. The Yashica does have a crack in the metal of the lens where the filter thread is and the case is damaged (none of which I was aware of), but it looks alright and for less than £10 it's worth a go. Its shutter and aperture are linked so you always get the correct exposure (providing the light meter on the top is correct).

I also managed to resist the massive urge to buy a Minolta SR7 with a 50mm 1.4 lens on Saturday at the fair. :) :/

Wow, what are the chances of that? Really, that is pretty cool. It's like the whole camera setup has come home to roost.

That's too bad about the crack in the filter thread, these are the slight risks we take picking stuff up sight unseen. But you didn't invest a lot, like you said, so any images you get from it will be gravy.

You've clearly been bitten by the camera acquisition bug, so this is a victory indeed!

Looking forward to your first set of pictures from the new toys.
