I was uploading pics for the shelter I took this week and thought..... hmmmm, I bet Overread might get a kick outta these.
His shelter name is Dameon and, as the breed does so well, he is a sweetie..

What a freaking beautiful dog!!! How can a pooch like this be in a shelter for more than two minutes?

And a beautiful smile ... I'm about to drive over there to pick him up. He has a collar ... so where are the tags? Are you getting a lot more dogs because of the economy?
Gary
PS- Where should I drive to?

(It's gonna be a looooooong drive, Gary!)
That is a spectacular looking dog! And those pics make him look so sweet...with pics like that, I'm sure he'll be adopted very quickly!

I know ... maybe some coffee ... but what a good looking, happy dog. And SoCal is way too warm for that dog ... but ...

Wow he is so beautiful. I'm sure he won't be at the shelter long.

Gary - If you take the 10 east, you could stop at Mitica's for coffee! One of those iced coffees would get you across the country! :big grin:
K - What a beautiful dog! I love the third shot.

Beautiful shots, of a beautiful pooch. When I see your photos of these un adopted animals, I cant help to have a sad feeling. Seeing my pooch enter the final stages of his life, and knowing Im only a few months away from deciding his final days, I see the eyes in these dogs, that only ask for the love and companionship of a human. Breaks my heart man. I would bring every one of them home. Thanks for sharing.

awww :)
great looking dog there! And good work getting both eyes right in focus (with eyes like that you have to!!)
It's so sad, but round where we are we are seeing more huskies in the kennals - they are a beauty of a breed so have a lot of fans, but they such wild dogs (in comparison to say a labrador) and many people just can't handle their bounce, digging, energy and also the fact that they will challenge authority every time they can. Worst part though is that you can never let them off the leed - they have almost no recall and what little they have is very unreliable - combine that with a strong hunting instinct and they will totally ignor you if a pheastant happens to be passing by.
Very affectionate dogs as well :)
Gary - I don't know about Kundalini's area, but pets are increasing in number at the shelters as some people dump them to reduce their outgoings :( but how one can drop off a member of the family is beyond me!

Whoa, must call my daughter.
Though it is dangerous to call her so she can look at these wonderful photos, as she will simply ... melt.
