I went out again today, with the macro lens offcourse. But this time i used something else too, a Raynox M-250. This is a macro adapter which i used when i was shooting with my Fujifinepix back in the days. So i put that on my macro lens and i got even closer then usual. I loved it. Downside is that i have to be about 2 inches from the bugs................and thats really close when you're shooting bugs. Also, the DOF is even smaller then normal. Even breathing in or out could cause me my focus. So this was also the first time that i used manual focus. But i did get some nice shots, thought it wasnt too bad for my first outing with the adapter.
Anyways, some shots of some flowers and bugs

They're all terrific shots. Numbers 2 and 9 are particularly intriguing.

:salute:

Awesome stuff. Flies, spiders, insects and flowers...... and a nicely trimmed fingernail.

Really great work Doenoe!
And the raynox macro filters really are something - I have recently been using a DCR 250 (maybe the same type as yours?) along with my typical 1.4 teleconverter to get some closer shots - its most certainly not easy to use, but darn fun!
I prefer the use of a teleconverter to retain the working distance - since as you have experienced the raynox works like an extension tube in reducing your minium focusing distance - which can make things interesting!
