One of today's shots from my lunchtime adventure walk with the 105mm. I am determined to master this lens!!!! :goodvibes:

It is an assassin bug!

Wow, so much of interest to look at in this shot! Those beautifully coloured petals, the sharp bits aimed at the bug, and of course the closeup view of the bug itself. Good macro work there, Christina!

Thanks! I'm not totally happy with the image, but it is one of the better bug shots I've taken. I have no idea what the bug is. I've been trying to research it, but nothing yet.

I just found out what it is... an assassin bug! I caught him mid lunch!

And yes, thats an assassin bug. I havent seen one in real life myself, but i really want to find one soon. Those are some nasty looking bugs.
