Nikkor 50mm field test

OK, today I finally had the chance to try this mighty lens (AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D) outdoors. The day was miserable, with no sun and a constant threat of rain... I went to the same place I tested the other two lenses yesterday: St. Vital Park here in Winnipeg. Just like with the sample photos taken with the other two lenses, none of these were sharpened in post.

So the lens seems to give a smooth bokeh, is really sharp even wide open, has a very fast AF (although no AF override, damn it!), and – surprisingly – no vignetting even wide open (at least in the conditions I shot today)...

I'll try to take some evening shots next weekend with this lens at f/1.4 to see what it can do in challenging lighting conditions.
