4am: Depart 1 hour drive to Wicklow, South of Dublin
Weather: Overcast, with patches of fog and rain!
So it's been over a year since I shot outside my native county of Dublin. Nearly all of my shots had been street/urban and city. Now I am off to 'The Garden of Ireland' for a shoot. We arrive at the location and the rain has already started. My gear for the day is a Manfrotto tripod, Nikon D300 with MBD300 battery grip, Nikon 50mm F1.4, Nikon 105mm F2.8 and a Sigma 10-20mm.
First stop St Kevin's Grave Yard, a nice morning mist is about and a slight chill in the air. This place is over 800 years old. I set my tripod up and shoot the old church.

St Kevin's Church
I walk approx 20 minutes from the grave yard and church to the upper lake.

Upper Lake of Glendalough. What a beautiful lake it is....

There is still plenty of mist around but I go about shooting anyway, you never know if the weather will get worse... I then move onto the ruins at St Kevin's.

From there I decide for the first time ever, to walk the lakeside walk. Needless to say it took me approx 4 hours!
