This shot is a mountain stream of one of many hikes I took last year in the New Hampshire White Mountains.

It looks like a gorgeous place. The colors are very nice. I'm not sure about the placement and the angle of the tree in the foreground, though.

Wonderfully clear water, and I take it, the green tint is from the foliage of the trees above? Or is it something inside the water that makes it so green?

I agree with FoxPaw about the compositional question as to to including that tree trunk, though. To my mind, it distracts more than helping the photo any.

Thank You for your comments. I wasn't sure about the tree in the foreground but for me I like it. It is a very beautiful place.

LaFoto the green tint of the water is from the foliage above.

There seems to be a blue tinge on the rocks and overexposure. WB issue?

Great shot none the less

Beautiful spot, and I like how you can see the rocks through the water.

I believe Kristin's camera accurately recorded the quality of light that was present at the time. It looks like it wasn't particularly sunny, but yet bright, so there could have been a lot more short wavelengths banging around and reflecting from everything.

I used to hang out in places like this back in southeast Ohio.

Awesome place you've got here Kristin.
