I suppose these are casual candids, although I go through quite a bit of trouble to shoot without a flash--I like the wierd effects I get. Anyway, a local gallery had a 'Morbid Fashion Show'/party. I took Katie, my 16yr old granddaughter so I had someone that I could shoot to the point of creepiness. I am a bit surprised at how many friends I've made over the last few months of hanging out there.

Fun thread! And Katie makes a great model....she has great eyes (#16), and does a good 'brooding' look (#4). That very first image is creepy cool too

Thank you. Joan (#1) is sort of creepy cool and can throw a decent party. Her artist's receptions remind me of keg parties I used to go to back in my early twenties. She's been another who is also very supportive of my trying new directions. "With times this bad, you'd be crazy not to try new things." As well as providing a venue for locals to hang their work, she's also become a customer.

All my granddaughters will pose for me at the drop of a hat (it must be a girl thing). Katie is the most serious, flexible and expressive out of the 4 of them though. #16 is my favorite out of the series.

Thank you. Nice to throw a change up once in awhile. These are even different from my other 'different' people shots (IMO). One of the differences I've noticed about these and those is that I'm in pretty close proximity to the subject (it's a small gallery). Also, my people shots are usually exploitive and have a somewhat anti-social air about them. It's hard to do that with people I know as is becoming the case at the gallery.
