These are some shots I made that started all from a goof. I hadn't used my medium format camera in over 10 years while my kids were growing up. I decided to take a photography class to restart my hobby, and I dug it out to work with. Well I was at Golden Gate Park, happily shooting away when I realized I was still on my first roll of film, and it had been nearly 40 shots shince I had started. Medium format in that camera used 12 shots per roll. So the dunce here found out that I had tripped the multi image button, and all were on one frame. When I developed the roll, the neg showed an interesting image. When I printed it, it became one of my favorites. I entered into the colleges art competition, and won. It went on to be part of a state wide competition. I won that one. Last I knew it was hanging in the Ca. govenors mansion. BTW the one that won is not this B&W version, but one that I hand colored. I have no scans of the colored one. I didn't have a scanner at the time nor a digigizmo. Opps it was the rose picture that won.

The rest were taken on purpose to see what I could do with the technique.

I totally missed these - this is a great story! :D I like all of them and in particular the rose. Would love to have seen that one hand colored!

Just goes to prove that there are few "accidents" in photography that can't be made into something special.

Wonderful accidents indeed! LOVE the look of the rose one. The wagon wheel-and windmill one looks pretty interesting too.

The next time someone is in the California Governor's Mansion, they better take a pic of the coloured version! What an incredible honour to have won a state-wide competition.

Way to learn from a mistake. These are interesting.

ya know I've had triple the number of people view this in the last 24 hours than viewed it the first week. I figured no one liked them. Then it is film and all done on one negative with multi exposures. I learned tricks to make it more viable.

I was gone to the land of slow computers all weekend (my brother's house in Kalamazoo)! :biglaugh::biglaugh: So this was the first I saw it! :big grin:

Aggie, if you still have the negative, you should reproduce it and hand color it again. that way you'd have a similar one.
