Weeds

I saw these street weeds clinging to life in the cracked pavement while out walking the dog. I had to run fetch the 645 to try a few different angles! Shot with Tmax 100.

I settled on this view, made an 8x10 enlargement and hand colored.

Fox, this one ended up being a bit of a head-scratcher for me. I liked the concept of the flowers growing out of the cracked pavement but maybe I shot too many frames and gave myself just enough angle choices to second-guess myself. :lol:

When I narrowed it down to what I did want in the frame - the white painted stripe, the flower shadows and the crack along the edge - I was able to start ruling out some other negatives.

And it was fun to color. You would not believe how many different colors are in that pavement. ;)
