I thought I should start one of these hello thingy threads of my own (not having anything at all to do with being called out when replying to Anty's thread of course ).
Hi. I'm Nini. I live in Colorado. Let's see... Autumn of '07 I returned to art school to finish my photography degree - which I'd all but abandoned in nearly a 10 year sabbatical. During my sabbatical I got married, moved a couple of times, had three children, and grew up enough to take my studies seriously.
Thanks for letting me share this little corner of the interweb with you all.

Consider this your official welcome to The Photo Beat, Nini! :) We're glad you're here!
So - have you finished the photography degree? Getting married and having young 'uns definitely puts a pause on other things.

Hmm well I certainly understand the degree sabbatical. I'm hoping mine isn't 10 years though! GL finishing if you haven't yet!
Welcome!

Oops I guess I forgot to say that no, I haven't finished my degree yet. I am sincerely hoping it doesn't take me another 10 years, but who knows. I'm only able to take a class or two each semester (and this semester I'm out all together). It's fairly slow going. :(

Tangerini, are you doing this on line? I"m really trying to look for a way I can get my degree 100% on line and so far not having much luck.

Well, good luck with it, and don't worry too much about the snail's pace. I know too many people who worked their way through school taking a quarter at a time. One friend would work 3 months (no school) just to save up, then take a quarter; work the next, take another quarter...slow going, but today he's a full fledged engineer. Take the long view! :) You'll get there.

No, which is the other main reason (besides lack of funds) that I'm not in school this semester... there weren't any classes that I needed that were available at any time I could make it.
