My new Dell 2209wa 22 inch widescreen monitor arrived today, almost three weeks earlier than anticipated. Woohoo!

So, being a geek, what did I do?

Oh maaaaaan! That's great! Good work.

(Just to confirm, you took a pic first, that's posted on both monitors (one in PS, it looks like), then took another shot of yourself looking at the pics?)

You got it, kid.

Set it up from one angle, shooting this image, then from CF to computer.

Then this image can be seen on the laptop in Bridge, and on the new monitor in photoshop. Then this was shot from a different angle, with me working on it with the wacom tablet.

Photoshop's palettes and menus are on the laptop, and the image is by itself on the new monitor. I can't believe how helpful this is turning out. The image is large and brilliantly crisp, and the palettes are well out of the way.

I'm diggin' it.

Very interesting, I don't think I would have been able to figure out what you did since my pc is so ordinary.

I like to see YOU, John, and so many times, too :D ... as to how you did all this, I'm about as clueless as renegade is, and my computer set-up is at least as ordinary ... ;)

This one was easy compared to the one from a couple years back. This one was just set up and shoot. Work on the image on the monitors, then shoot a second photo. No weird photoshopping involved.

As compared to a couple years ago, in the image below, when I first got my mac mini, and had only one screen. I shot a few shots with my point and shoot on the tripod, then used photoshop to insert the images on to the monitors in the final image.

The image on the monitor was a complete other image, inserted, resized, and distorted to try and match the monitor.

And it was all very low res from the point and shoot.
