MEMBER'S CHOICE PHOTO CONTEST: April 16-30 '09 Nomination Thread

This is the nomination thread for the biweekly photo contest, for pictures posted on the forum from April 16th to April 30th, 2009 inclusive. Members may nominate up to three photographs posted by others during this time period. You can’t nominate your own images. If a photograph has already been nominated, please don’t nominate it again as it will already be on the list. And if you nominate a shot posted outside of the applicable time period, it will be removed.

To nominate a photo, please add it to this thread, and include
-the thread title from where the image was originally posted;
-the name of the photograph (if there was one posted); and
-the name of the photographer

The current plan is that on May 1, a voting poll will be added to this thread, so that you can see the nominated images in the same thread as you will be voting. Voting will remain open for 4 days after the poll is posted. This voting procedure may change, depending on the number of nominations, but we'll keep you advised about how the voting will be conducted.

But the one nominated by doenoe stays in, because with the time difference, it was posted on the 16th in the Netherlands.

Good job nominating photos, everyone!

Having discussed the set-up of the contest with several members, we figured it would be a good idea to keep the nomination thread open for an extra day or two, in case anyone wants to add a nomination. [Any nominated photo must still have been originally posted during the contest period of April 16-30, 2009 though.] So the poll will be added to this thread on Sunday May 3 at about 2:00 p.m. EST

^^^ René, as set out in post 9 in this thread, your Irish Landscape photo had to be disqualified because it was not originally posted on the forum within the April 16-30, 2009 time frame (it was originally posted April 12th). Sorry! :(

Ummm, Am I missing something?

I don't see "An Irish Landscape" by René post #4 nominated by Chiller in the poll. I thought the person nominating was limited to three per cycle.... not the person nominated.

With respect to your other question, you are correct that it is the person nominating who is limited to 3 nominations. A nominee may have more than 3 of their pics nominated (by others, obviously).
