View Full Version : Need Reading excuse

OK before I take my wrist strap and feed it to the husky I need an excuse to go all the way to reading - I think I fitted it wrong! See its fine for holding the strap to the hand, but if I use the neckstrap the wriststrap part comes undone! This is not fun when you have a 70-200mm lens on the end!

I wonder - do I need a reflector and something to hold it with?

[The member with the screen name 'Lord Montague the 3rd' currently manages a camera store in Reading. Where I assume Overread, who lives nearby there, obtained the camera neck/wrist strap that he is threatening to feed to his husky. So I am hoping that Lord Montague the 3rd can answer Overread's question before the poor dog pays the price]

*things*
rings - viewfinderbits - small bag (:)) - tubes - ooh a geared head!!

a head which is still waiting for Hongkong to deliver the focusing rails before it gets some good using (I refuse to go back to that manfrotto focusing rail its just no good for what I need from it I find) though I did give the gear a try for some toad shots, but little devil was hiding too far out in the water so I went back to handheld (and my softbox went in the water - really must edit shots shots at some point soon!)

Anyways enough rambling yes it was the geared head :)
and not living near too at the moment sadly - though I should be back at some point - not quite sure when (other threads round here might explain why I have bad time management at the moment) but hoping to get back - got those new foxes in the BWC to see - and the otters as well!
Oh and there is the shop as well of course :)

ah, one needs to be in the "loop" or inner circle so to speak.

It wasn't intended to be an exclusionary comment, ann! I figured Lord Montagu, as the very first non-mod member here, was fairly well known. I may refer to him as a king from time to time, as I've nicknamed him the Otter King for his wonderful pics of otters. And he used to call me the Penguin Queen because of my love of the flightless fowl from the southern hemisphere. Now he just doesn't call me at all. :(

Don't feel badly, Ann - I know most of these people and I still don't get some of their chat.

Ann: A non-mod (moderator) is a member-in-good-standing. :toast:

I think you've mentioned these shots before, and I would definitely love to see them!
