Jojo

yup, jojo...its the name of our parakeet. I tried to make some shots of him, but he doesnt sit still very long. So i was constantly fetching the bird, sitting him down and try to focus fast enough to get a shot.
Apart for being a pain in the behind to photograph, its a cool bird. And he has got quit the vocabulairy, talks your ears off if he gets the chance :)

Not alot of meat on them though. I go through 20 of them in one sitting.

And in #1 he isnt giving you the eye and if he was, you cant do anything with it, cause he is blind on that side :lol: But he can fly around like any other bird and doesnt bump in to stuff.................not alot anyway.

Jojo is such a pretty bird! I have a parakeet too, he's more of a powder blue compared to Jojo. I really like the second shot. Nice captures Daan.

Well, you sure had set your mind to getting his photos taken, no matter how often he flew away from the spot the moment you were set to click the button! :D He's a nice bird, lovely colour, and he's a budgerigar (budgie), I should say, no parakeet. He sure looks like a budgie to me! And Spot's not interested in him??? ;)

Nice shots. Causes me to miss Lucy, our old cockatiel. She was quite social, and would gnaw on my son's earring, then chirp to him.

Well, a parakeet and budgie are the same thing :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budgerigar :) And Spot has never seen him, since Spot is upstairs and Jojo lives downstairs. But if in some weird situation the 2 would meet, i think its bye bye Jojo. That would really suck, good thing the 2 live in different parts of the house :)
Sorry to hear about Lucy, John. Some people find it strange that other people can get sad when their birds pass on. But a bird is just a part of the family. Here Jojo flies around in the room most of the time and never shuts up. Its just strange if he wouldnt be here anymore.
