Wasn't sure where this should go, hope this works...

I've been lugging my stuff around with a nice, small Tamarac backpack: A 7D body, 70-210 push/pull, 20-35mm EF and the kit lens, along with some other minor stuff.

I finally got motivated last weekend to buy a 70-200 f2.8 L IS II that I've been planning for a couple months. I just haven't found a good way to carry it. Now it dangles off the side of my back-pack. Serious pain. I'd like to attach it to the body and carry it in the bag that way and still have room to attach one of the other lenses and still carry the new 70-200 too.

I want a back-pack but like having something I can throw over my shoulder and walk around a track or on a hike or... but still want a place to carry other "stuff".

I checked out the Aero Speed Pack 85 (http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/TQ3385/) that has duel access and will hold my laptop, and I also looked at the Tamarac Adventure 9 and 10 (http://www.tamrac.com/frame_adv.htm).

I really really like the size/capacity of the Adventure 10 but also really want the side-access via shoulder carry that the Speed Pack 85 has.

Is there a bag with duel access like the Speed Pack that has more room for other stuff like the Adventure 10?

I was in the same boat as you with the lens and bag situation. I did get a Aero speed pack 85. I soon learned that when I had my 200 2.8 on I could not put the camera back in the bag if my other lens (sigma 18-50 2.8) was in already. If i put the sigma standing up in the other space then it would be a super tight fit with my sb600 on the other side.

Another thing about the bag is the zippers were just not as good as my other bag. They were tight and hard to zip lol. Then they had a rain seal around it that would get caught up sometimes. There is also no waist strap so long walks with a full load is just not as comfortable. I don't have a laptop so having that was a personal waste for me and it would be rare for me to bring one with me on photo trips even if I had one. The shoulder straps are on the thin side also. I used it for one full day of shooting and it would of been fine if I did not know better.

The mini Trecker went with me on hikes and it did the job and felt good. The only problem I had was having to put the bag down to open and change lenses and that is not a huge deal. Ill just stay with the mini Trecker because hands down a way better high end bag than that speed pack.

If you still want it Ill make you a good deal lol.

I'm going to pick up this bag for when I don't bring my 200 out, hell the 200 might fit in the water pocket. And I might use it for a range bag anyways. Walmart sells them. maxpedition jumbo
