Taken with a Canon 20D modified for IR by Lifepixel. 430EX flash with a double layer of unexposed but developed E6 as a filter. This blocks almost all the visible light from the flash.

So, you put 2 layers of E6 film over the flash and fired away? Interesting - this image looks dual toned in sepia and blue! The color cast is definitely blue, but still warm in the background and on the front of the laptop.
Great effect! Love it.

Unexposed but developed E6 is the poor man's IR filter. Buy an expired roll of 120, and have them develop it for a pretty good supply of the stuff. One roll has lasted me over a decade, and I've cut it up to fit several lenses and flashes.
Who knows where the color cast comes from exactly in this one. In ACR I always start out with the white balance set to 200 temp, -72 tint. If shot in daylight that gives me a dull red-magenta cast. If I flip the red and blue channels I get the blue color IR look that is popular. When using the E6 filtered flash that color temp gives me a much bluer cast, but I may have fiddled with the WB some. I'd have to dig up the raw file to see. The warm color is all from the tungsten lighting.
