This is the nomination thread for the bi-weekly photo contest, for pictures posted on the forum from July 1st to July 15th, 2010 inclusive. Members may nominate up to three photographs posted by others during this time period. You can’t nominate your own images. If a photograph has already been nominated, please don’t nominate it again as it will already be on the list. And if you nominate a shot posted outside of the applicable time period, it will be ineligible.
To nominate a photo, please add it to this thread, and include
-the thread title from where the image was originally posted;
-the name of the photograph (if there was one posted); and
-the name of the photographer
On the evening of July 18th a voting poll will be added to this thread, so that you can see the nominated images in the same thread as you will be voting. Voting will remain open for 4 days after the poll is posted.
In the event of a contest tie, the mods/admins will be asked if they haven't yet voted. If they haven't, they must pick between the tied images to break the tie. If all the mods/admins have already voted and there is still a tie...then they will vote again amongst themselves, on only the tied images, to declare a winner. [So in a nutshell, in the event of a tie, the mods/admins will perform the tie-breaking.]
