Had some great weather the last few days and alot of the bugs came out of their hiding spots. Felt good to go out again in search of bugs :)

You've truly mastered the macro shot of bugs! I'm gobsmacked at the detail you get (like the teeny tiny spider eyes in shot 3, and the hairs on the antennae in shot 7). And the depth of colour is fantastic (eg shot 2). Great stuff.

Holy crap these are excellent. Number 2 and 3 are my faves, even tho all of these are high calibre.

Thanks for the very nice words everyone. Mastered is a big word, but im better then when i started, so there is some progress. Im pretty happy with the shots, but there is always room for improvement. Good thing its going to be a nice day again tomorow, so i can go out and shoot again. Maybe going to another place, like the dunes or something, could be interesting.
And im using a Sigma 105 2.8 macro and also a speedlite 430EX with a Lumiquest softbox for the light :)
Thanks again for the kind comments :D

Killer shots Daan.

I'm finding the macro world very challenging, but ohhh so much fun. I'm seeing things I would not have given a second thought to previously. I'm also a bit more cautious where I step. :)

Wow!! I love how clear and sharp they are and I think the best one is number 2! Well done!

I love shooting macro. I usually go to a little park thats near our our. Its about 20 meters wide and 150 meters long, so you could walk through it in like 2 minutes, i can do it in 2 hours :) And you really get cautions about were you step and thats not only because of the bugs........there are dogs there too. Its pretty funny to see people walking by and you can just see what they are thinking by looking at their faces: what the heck is he doing?
Shame the last few days arent good for macro, loads of sun but also loads of wind. That just doesnt work. Ah well, i guess there will be more sunny windfree days in my future :)
Thanks for the nice words :D

Excellent. Number 11 looks like a dead bug, or a drunk one who just got a bar stool over his head in a fight! LOL

If you're not tired of hearing it, I also love these. It makes me wish I had a macro lens. [Adds one item to already long wish list....]

ill never get tired of hearing that :) Thank you
And you should just go out and get one, you wont be sorry.......but you will get tired of the nettles, dog poo and other stuff you dont wanna stand in. But when you look at the images on your computer, it makes it all worth while :)
