Historic part of st. john's located on the very edge of a cliff entering st. john's harbor. Fishing was the main priority back then and this is the way most of the out ports were.

the harbor is where the poop goes..to swim means instant disease, mutation or death :)...a boat was used.

Thanks Jeff.

 I like how you stuck boat on the bottom of your list, like another piece of equipment!

Do people still live in these houses, or are they historic? Their colours seem very bright and cheery!

Thanks!

Love it, Matt! :boogie: Wonderful to see a pic from the harbour. I've heard how colourful the houses are, but this really brings it home for the viewer.

How high are the tides? Looks to be about 4-5 feet in this photo

quite low on this day, about 3-4 feet i think it is on the buoy.

Thanks all!!

Wow! Really nice shot! I live not only the colors but the variety of architecture of the different houses. Nice! :)

Oh, a photo making me look forward to the Newfoundland Meet next summer! (Though it is a meet-up of "the other side", but then I hold NOTHING whatsoever against "the other side", so there, and a trip to Newfoundland sounds - and now even looks! - good for whichever reason :D :D :D ).
