Sure was / is (this will hopefully be my summer job this year :D) fun to shoot! :)

Didn't know anyone before shooting them :king:.

Ah...well, if that is the case...for future reference, eliminate the cups. Wile I do understand the drinking is a part of the activities for which people go to these establishments, the holding and sucking on a cup/straw casts a "Too spur of the moment" feel. The ones with the straws dangling from their mouths look like you cought them off guard where the ones with the big smiles as and the intentional (from her end) cleavage shots cast the "having fun, feelin free" feeling that should be associated with such a life style.

Ockie, you did a good job! :thumbup: If the assignment was to capture the nightlife feel, you have succeeded here with these images. A big crowd, the lights, the action, the babes....maybe try to get some of the guys there in on it next time, to balance it out.

meh, got the "official" interview this week, but I think I've got it... its 6 bosses, and 3 said yes, one doesn't give a :tapedshut: and the one that needs to hire me said yes, but not on paper... :raisedbrow:

I don't mean to be a dick....but um, I have counted maybe three straight guys out of all of them and two of those three are well questionilble. This is good when targeting the gay community but as far as eye candy for the ladies...it lacks a certain sex appeal, most of these guys look like they are going home with each other.

I know that sounds kind of harsh but I have a good handful of gay friends...I think it's enough to give me the right to say it bluntly....but I could be wrong on that.

now they just need to tell me how much I'll be working to see if its enough to pay rent during the summer...

.... and I think your point is that you are being a dick. Nowhere did I see a reference to the clientele that is being catered to in that pigeon-hole. In the bigger scheme of things.... what does it matter? These are images of young adults (and probably a few underagers) being caught in the moment of a night on the town. Their sexual orientation is not in question by the casual or critical viewer IMO.

If you want to bend the bar far enough, then yeah.... some latent innuendo could be placed upon a few of these images, but for what reason?

Just because you have 'a handful of gay friends' doesn't necessarily translate to your comfort level of the situation. This could also bias your aforementioned comments. My brother is bent as a butcher's hook..... does that bother me? NO! My dear cousin is married to a black man (my family is Caucasian by and large with some Native American thrown in the mix)..... does that bother me? NO! We all need to be comfortable in our own skin. Know your own limitations and your own prejudices. This helps descibe us in the human chain, but more importantly, it helps us to become better individuals as a whole, for the betterment of society.

I digress.......

hah yeah.. oh well, we were almost alone in the VIP area of the club... and she loves to pose... will probably do a fashion(ish) shoot with her and her friend in a couple of weeks... :big grin:

most of them are just "happy", they're used to some other nightlife websites who well, don't take their jobs too seriously...
it might be a combination of people recognizing me (and being happy i'm not with one of those websites) and others just being happy to pose...


anyhow, its passed 5 AM, just came back from work again, jsut gonna post one photo right now as I need to finish some work for university... will post more tomorrow evening when I've gone through the rest of the photos & uploaded them to the website of the club :-)

May I make a suggestion, post-wise? It's starting to take a bit of time for all the images to load. You might want to start new threads for different venues you shoot, so the page can load a bit quicker. :)

Ok, whatever you prefer, don't want to spam the forum with too many threads... might post a new thread once a week with some of the best shots of that week... perhaps that's an idea?
