How's it coming where you are? Let the rest of us see. Great art isn't required.
The ranunculus in our backyard are blooming. I like them because they require no care, which is essential for any plants in our yard. The blue is from vinca/periwinkle, the pink in the lower right from oxalis (sp?). I ought to fill the bird bath but seldom do.

Lovely! :) I'm a big vinca fan; not quite time yet here though.
I'll have to snap a few things (other than our flowering weeds) and pop into this thread.

This is what spring means to me. Just put the boat in the water today and took a snap of the freshly polished hull underway.

Wow, your spring has far advanced already. Here, the crocusses have come and gone, same about the snowdrops, but I stuck to my resolve NOT to photograph them this spring, neither of the two, and there is NOTHING else out there as yet. No leaves in sight as yet (just on the horse chestnut trees), no flowers...

Our spring's precocious, LaFoto. Our summer's hellacious.
A cactus bloom from this morning:

This is the most recent (taken yesterday), spring-iest photo I can present as of now, though upon looking today (Easter Sunday) I do see one or the other tiny leaf outside, so I think there is hope!

Heck, I love that picture! That would put anybody in a spring-like mood, getting your boat polished up and going off for the first ride of the season. So much fun!
We've been trying to get the yard and the garden cleaned up. That's MY indication that spring has arrived! :)
Here are a few snaps from yesterday.
Our red bud tree is just starting to bloom (that's the O-dog sniffing around in the foreground):

Rolleimaniac is priming the garden soil with some kind of organic nutrient stuff - we'll be planting within the next couple weeks:

And I noticed that my funny little vine-like perennials I planted about 2 years ago are finally blooming this year. :cheer: I thought I'd killed them (always 50/50 with me). I am so proud.

Still not overly much there in the way of spring, but the buds get bigger every day!
First spring greens (still tiny):

These buds eventually want to turn into cherry blossoms:

Warm air is forecast to come in from the south, so I guess with that nature will explode. Which means I might come up with more spring-like spring photos soon.

Thank you, Fox! It's already much fuller than it was just 2 days ago - amazing!
Gosh...I really love your second image here, Corinna! Such nice DOF and angle of the delicate little blooms. And very...green. ;)
Pretty!

Corinna, I agree with Terri, and I like the other two as well.
Foxman, that's an intriguing shot. It took me a while to figure out where the blossoms (?) were coming from.

You know, when I initially took this shot, I did not consider it's deeper meaning of new life with the Cross. Factoring that in, it makes this shot much more meaningful I think, or at least to me it does.
When we put that cross up at our church, I am sure no one considered how it lined up with that tree. Somethings just work out for the greater good. :cheer:

Spring does show itself more and more. Took this one with this theme thread in mind:

I haven't posted anything in this thread yet, because, well, spring hasn't really happened here yet http://www.polymoog.se/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif However I did get around to going out with the camera yesteday in the warm (+5C) sunny weather, in order to capture the only spring sign so far : the snow is melting ;) So here's a few panos showing some of the local scenery :

http://www.polymoog.se/spring/spring2.jpg
http://www.polymoog.se/spring/spring3.jpg
http://www.polymoog.se/spring/spring4a.jpg
However, on closer inspection, I did actually find signs of botanical life, though at least in the case of the last pic, it was a remnant from last year as opposed to new life from this year ;)

Finally, 2 misc pics, firstly a shot of a roadside sign for a farm :
http://www.polymoog.se/spring/spr003.jpg
And secondly one of the many roads damaged by the permafrost that is now rising up and thawing out :
http://www.polymoog.se/spring/spr005.jpg
PS there is a lake visible in one of the panoramas, although I'll admit it's not that obvious ;)

Right outside my kitchen window.
Rolleimaniac spotted her yesterday while cleaning the gutters. Both mama robin AND cleaning the gutters are also signs of spring for me.
We've had a lot of fun watching mom & dad tag-team on feeding the three babies inside. They are already a fair size and certainly keeping them hopping!
