Thanks ... it was cold, it was dark, there was nowhere to use a tripod ... so I wedged my camera into a dry stone wall (the scratches are on the camera to this day) and pressed the shutter ... When I got home (300 miles later) I just straightened and sharpened :)

I can see that. Well exposed, well focused, well composed, and it tells the story of the circle of life.

In that first shot, the robin's expression seems to say he's a bit proprietary of his area.

Nice choice of images! The shot of the stone and daisies really appeals to me....I like the depth of field you chose, and the simplicity of the composition/subject matter depicted. And you sure picked a sweet time to take the Abbey pic, to get the dramatic lighting against the darkening sky.
