Ok on the 1st of April I got a touch of insanity and got up before the crack of dawn. Whilst on the train from My place we passed over the River Thames. The sun was creeping up.....

Hope you like it. I have already straightened it and cropped a little.

Holy Toledo, you took that from a moving train??? Good job. I often get glare from inside the train in the photo. You didn't, but you did get the wonderful colours of the sunrise, and definition in the buildings (not just silhouettes), and the distinctive shape of the Gherkin (is that right?)

Looks like lots of building going on...good to see, especially in this economy!

Thanks Anty ... yes moving and inside the train. The art of this is ... be on a British Train .. they are the slowest, and I had the camera lens almost against the window (the only bit not scratched or written on) and the I used a hand to shade any chance of a reflection/glare.

I was very pleased with this one. :)

Thanks PhotoJet :)

THe cranes caught my eye before the sunrie colour to be honest :)

Yeah, I like the lines of them. I tell my grandkids they are "building animals". ;) We also have "road animals"... especially now... they are out of hibernation.

The color of the sky is fantastic. The cranes really add to this shot. Great job catching this from a moving train.
