I was at a charity function on Saturday night and they had a new young Canadian band (Tokyo Police Club) playing. This was just taken with my point and shoot, but I liked the grainy look of the band playing
under the stage lights

And here's a closeup of the lead singer. He seemed pretty popular with the teenage girls crowded around the stage.

I heard this band mentioned on the radio the other day, they are opening for somebody , and cant remember the name.
Diggin that first shot Anty. My favorite is the second from the right. :sexywink:

nice shots. I was thinking that maybe you should crop out the empty chairs in the first one. But then i thought that it looked pretty cool that everybody stood up to see the band, leaving the empty chairs.

^^^ I had also thought about maybe cropping them out, but wondered if it would look weird to chop the people in half. Now that I reconsider that, I don't think it would be weird, so I'll do a further crop and see how it looks (will post it).

I agree with Terri that the angles the lights are throwing really make the first shot look cool.

Another vote for the second from the right :)

I really like the blue lights and the black space!


TPC have been around for a while I'm sure. I've got one of their albums tucked away somewhere, must be over a year old. I can't remember whether or not I liked it.

They have been around for about 3 years I think. They were up for a Juno this year (Canadian Music Award), but they lost out to the much better known band Nickelback.

Well I'm late to this game but like both the first and the cropped shot. I don't care about her legs either.
