Okay just a couple right now before I go off and watch some basketball (GO HEELS!!!!).
The tree was teeming with bumblebees this afternoon. That why I got the 300mm lens out. :) From the quick scan of shots, it looks as if I might have a higher than normal keeper rate. Yaaayyyy. I've only done a kwik edit on these two for now. To be sure, they are cropped.

Did I mention that it was a very bright sun out today? (hotspots and no CP filter)......... tomorrow maybe.
Thanks for looking and comments are welcomed.

Holy crapola. It is like this guy just flew into my room. I want that lens...may I have it please.
Number 2 definitely! So many shots of bees on flowers, but one in flight like that, first time I ever saw a shot like this and I read Nat Geo!!!

You can have it for a song....... no, wait.... I mean... no..... you can't have it. You shoot with a cannon...... it won't fit.

Cheers René. That's the biggest compliment I've ever received. Worthy or not, much appreciated.

Whoa, #2 is a beaut! Bet you grinned from ear to ear when you saw that one appear on your monitor! (still some hot spots though)
And I like #4, the way he's suspended mid air and the way the branch of flowers is at an angle is very pleasing to my eye. Looks like you're having a ton of fun with these.
(That last one makes me giggle...tooo funny how its legs are positioned like that)

number 2 is certainly the pick of the lot so far -a very good and different angle on the bee and you got the focus right on the eye too! :)
out of interest were you shooting (can cropping) pure 300mm shots or using an extension tube?

That last one is a crack up! I like the ones in flight. They must be difficult to capture.
