Went to visit the farm the other day and took a couple pictures with my Hasselblad 500c/m, 100mm. I am loving film!

Great pics! :) I can't figure out which one I like best. The first one is a great portrait of the young fellow, but the grin on the little puppy holder is amazing! It's funny the difference between how she is holding the pup & how he is holding his pup! haha  Sort of says it all, doesn't it? ;)

Don't you just love the Hassy? I have the same one! I did end up buying a 90deg viewfinder for it because I was swaying like a swamii when using the waist-level finder!

Thanks Jet, I had trouble with the waist level finder also and got a PME45 which I love!

I like both of them, Alex. I can't see much difference from a digital image, though. Do you?

The differences can be very subtle, but yes I think there are some. Film seems to have a huge dynamic range while carrying at times less detail and a more noticeable depth of field. With 6X6 film like I am using here, there can be a real 3D effect also whereas digital usually comes out looking flat and un-interesting. I have three different camera systems that I use regularly and I think they all have their place; 35mm digital (canon 5D), medium format digital (hasselblad H3DII), and medium format film (hasselblad 500 C/M). I am also thinking of adding 35mm film, and I think my gear will be complete. Each system has its own look, and each excels where the others lack. Only lately have I begun to prefer "that film look", and this is an opinion formed over a long period of time. To each his or her own, but I really dig film for every day use.
