Too many shots to only get one that may be decent.

It was a late afternoon sunset and I like the shadow it cast. Plus the little pouches of nectar they collect.

I love these type shots when they are sharp enough to show the bits of pollen/nectar dotting their bodies like this. The little nectar pouch is cool!!

Such detail! Right down to the hairs on the legs. Just how close were you?

Too damn close. :lol: Probably less than 2 inches. The only time one of these has stung me was when I stepped on it while barefooted. I don't worry too much with these, but yellowjackets, bumble bees, hornets and such are a different story all together.
