Looking at this bird is making me cold! Shouldn't he be flying for warmer pastures by now? (Nice capture, by the way. I like how the bird is framed by all the twigs.)

A flock of these I am happy to say, stay with us all year round - just easier to photo on the branches when the leaves are off. Costs me a fortune in sunflower kernels, but it is like having my own personal aviary along with the chaffinches, greenfinches, great, blue and long tailed tits that are regular visitors. The feeders are set within 8ft of the window in my garage where I am exiled to puff on my pipe, so get plenty of time to enjoy their antics.
