Nice Chicago pics! I like your shot of the "El" :) (the El is short for Elevated train since it runs above the streets).

I'm having a major brain cramp trying to remember the name of the photographer. He was a contemprary of Ansel Adams. He lived in San Francisco, and took a very famous photo looking up the hill at the bottom of Market street near the Embarcadero. Your second picture is very similar to it. You have very good instincts.
