Nice tones. And textures (sharp branches, grass tufts, churned dirt). And I love the look of the trees....that great craggy one on the bottom left, and the dark topped ones at the top of the slope with foliage only at the top. As you so often do, you include such great variety of 'lines' in your images. What at first glance appears a simple shot is really filled with complexity.

I was examining the image and thinking this one was all about diagonals for me, when I scrolled down and read your comment. ;)

Very nice.

('Diagonals' are 'lines' to me. I guess my terminology is a bit off. )

I like who this one takes my eye around the image, with that little tree a the bottom, and you are led up to the trees at the right. Nicely done.

I like the composition ... don't like the contrast (or lack thereof) and dominance of middle tones.

The middle tones is where all the information is.
Contrast isn't everything in an image. Sometimes it's the structure and relationships that matter ;)

It's a lot like going into a darkened theater. As my eyes adjust, I see more detail, and appreciate the value range.

Hello Hertz! :-)
