Nice set, especially #2 with its beautiful colours and the cool fern (or whatever that is). I've nominated it, so if it has a title other than "yes, again #2" let me know and I'll update it :)

Great work as always DoeNoe - might I ask though, as I have tried and mostly failed myself - the butterflies with very shiny wings, how do you manage to capture the shine of them? I tend to find that they get bleached out to a duller colour with the flash.
And I hope you flipped that poor beetle back over when you were finished ;)

Thank you very much for the nomination, greatly apreciate it :) Im not that good with titles, maybe "the Fern sitter"

First off, that beetle was dead. I didnt think cockroaches could die, but this one proved otherwist ;) Secondly, im not really sure how that shine appears. But i think if you shoot it from the side, you have to make sure the light bounces back from the wing on your sensor. So you probably dont wanna shoot from an angle. Cant think if anything else really. Thanks for the reply :)

No, not disappointed, just sick of butterfly pics ;) Thank you for your compliment. Very nice thing to say :)

Thanks. And yes, those are eggs from a butterfly. Most likely the Great Owl (Caligo sp)

Beautiful series! I especially like the second one (the pattern of the overlapping leaves along the bottom is very pleasing and the antennae stand out well against the dark background).
