Yet keeping an eye on the feeder for the chance at a sunflower seed.

Such a pretty little fellow! Little does he know he's being stalked with a telephoto lens!

That second one is great, did you have any additional lighting?

This is great.
Have you seen this? http://birdbook.org/

I was just leafing through the various pages when I felt a presence at my left elbow. There was my standard poodle, Morgan, intent on each and every image. When I turned to her and said something about the birds she looked me in the eye, wagged softly and then turned her head to indicate the general direction of where the tv used to sit in this room (we have done some rearranging in the past week) I could almost hear her say "that's sort of like tv, isn't it?" and then she turned back and we looked at a few more images after I made room for her to get closer. She wagged softly when she saw one she liked particularly. I guess I was pretty blown away at the conversation we had just had.

They say that your back yard birds know you. They hang around and watch you as you go through your activities. If there are birds in your garden it is their particular home, and they are the same little clan. They get to know that you feed them rather than someone else, and they make a distinction between you and others. I had never thought about that.

So, nice shot of your little friend!

Both very nice.. I like the back-facing pose of the Great Tit, Willows are always a bit bouncy, so stopping this one is a very fine capture...
