I felt the infection coming the moment I saw MissMia's first oil bubble photos... and then it hit me full force.
My pics are all different, though. Here is one.

It is one of the VERY colourful ones, I also used other backgrounds for less colours. I didn't see how the purple/orange area seems to suck in all the bubbles (to me it seems to do that) when I took the photo, but now, upon viewing my outcome, I get this feeling. Do you, too?

Man oh man, LOVE the bright colours. And you have soooo many bubbles...why is that? Did you stir it up or something? It looks great, and I like how many bubbles have multiple colours within

I've been waiting to see who would be the first one infected!
Very nice Corinna! I'm always amazed at how different the colors are once I load them into the computer. You can't always see how the colors will be thru the viewfinder. Can't wait to see more!

Ok, how did you do this!?

I only followed MissMia's advice.
She started all this.
She explained how she had filled a glass bowl or so with some water, set it up high enough over a colourful background, added some oil drops and took HER photos.
Mine are a mere copy of her idea (which she got from Adormama, I think)... so this is nothing very creative on my side ... :(

Well, I think for something with a relatively quick and simple setup like this, these turn out the most interesting images. Mia's work is wonderful, and I just love this one, Corinna. Colors are in-your-face vivid and bright, and it feels like you're flying through a bizarre universe.
Great stuff! (I'm not wild about the online "frame" thing, but that is beside the point of the image.)

Yes, I agree, that frame was a bit ... daring, and I was having my doubts about it the minute it was finished.
I might decide to enter this into the local contest, even though I had sworn to myself never to enter photos any more, as they don't judge them for their quality but according to the personal likings or dislikings of the "ultimate judge" - but "Bizarre Worlds" is this month's theme and I think I might have created one, after all ;). I'll enter it WITHOUT that funny frame! Promise!

Yep, They’re gonna have the whole forum rushing to find their Mott the Hoople and Cream albums; all part of the experience when you ‘drop oil’.
Nicely done!

But, are you experienced? I was thinking of pulling out Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus for a listen.

I’ll admit to letting Jimmy Take Over once or twice.

To this day I can still ‘see’ All Along the Watchtower…

I might see if I can give this a go on the weekend. Supposed to be nice and sunny, and I found some crazy c-word paper that I can use as a backdrop. And, I will post with the frames:biglaugh:
