Finally did it! We went to a Harley Davidson dealership and splurged by renting a Road King for a day. It will happen on Wednesday and both I and missus will take a ride somewhere in AZ, probably Jerome or the beautiful Globe loop.
Can Harley wait! (couldn't resist...)

How exciting! You are going to have a great time on either ride. The weather will be perfect too.

I ride (I should say I used to ride, it's my wife's bike now) a Sportster, I'm sure it'll be quite different. Smoother ride for starters...
Give your hubby a pat on the back, awesome bikes!

No no no. A Road King is a bike. This is a Toledo;

Add a pope to make it Holy and bring your own Batman outfit.

Back from the trip! Happy to report no accidents but sad to report no pictures either. Once I got in the saddle I forgot about everything else! Boy, this Road King is a bad boy! Well, I managed to take two pics, BW but y'all have to wait to finish the film, develop and scan.
I am dog (or hog) tired, we did about 400 miles since this morning.

Sounds like a great time! Where did you go? I bet the RK was quite a change from the Sportster!

We started going through Globe on 60. Then up to Show Low, stopped for gas and munchies, then to Payson. Had a good Mexican lunch at a local joint, then came back on 87. About 400 miles of riding.
But... In all honesty, I think that a RK might not be the bike for me. While I liked the road behavior, I didn't care much about how high I was sitting or how I had to hang on to the handlebars. As I understand, a RK can't be customized that much so I might be looking at an Electra Glide. It was good that I only rented, it's a learning experience.

Great bike, wouldn't work for me. Being that I'm 5-11 I'd be very cramped on a DeLuxe. However, my wife might just fit on one perfectly.
