I'm burning up the very last of my Polaroid 59 (sigh). I've had my Daylab set up recently for playing with the SX-70 stuff, so I swapped out the base and found my 4x5 film holder.

I shot this image of my niece Christmas before last, probably Fuji Provia. She had recently done this painting and I am quite proud of her growing talent. She was shy to pose for me ;) but stood still while I took a few shots, and I promised her I'd do "something funky" with it.

I've shown her how to do image transfers in the past, so I'm hoping she is satisfied with this.

Here she is, I'm calling this one Leah's face.

Apologies for the crooked scan. Thanks for looking!

I love the painting... she's very talented. It's so much fun to see the alternative forms of photography. One day I will venture over to film and have a bit of fun too.

Thanks, all. Of course the success of this transfer is only because the painting is so good. ;)

Jeanette, she was only 13 when she painted this! I cropped in close since I knew I would probably do an image transfer, so some of the painting isn't showing here. It's really lovely.

She still takes art classes. And her braces, more noticeable on the slide than this transfer, are now off, much to her relief.

Very lovely photo of a lovely girl and a lovely painting! :thumbsup:Girl, you've been holding out on me - I didn't know you ever worked with Polaroid! I'd love to see you start a thread and show off some of your stuff.

And thank you for the kind words. :toast:
