way off topic.

I have been using an Archos device for listining to audio books, but the library options are getting slimmer and the audio.com site won't download to this device.

I am in the process of researching the following players, Zune HD or an IPOD classic. Any one here use either of these? Especially for audio books.

I use the iPod Nano. I have an 8g & a 4g. Mine is full of audiobooks! Actually... they both are! I'm pretty happy with both of mine. :)

My daughter has zune, but I don't know if she's ever downloaded any books to it. Check with the audiobook sites to see what their recommendations are for players. I use Audible.com but I know there are others (including the iTunes store).

I have an iPod classic (80Gb) which I love, but I use it for music and not audiobooks.

i checked on Audio.com and both are on the list.

i am concerned about bookmarking and the salespeople don't seem to have a clue.

i thought i would call both companies tomorrow and ask, but was looking for real people using either or in real live.

thanks for the feedback.

By bookmarking, do you mean the ability to pick up where you left off in a book? I can do that on both of my iPods. Even if I haven't listened to the book in a while, it will always allow me the option of 'Resuming' where I left off. I think I've got like 3 or four books right now with 'resume' marks! hahaha I may have to re-listen to some of them, since I've probably forgotten everything anyway!
