Nice! A very moody shot, with the fog. I love the look of trees emerging from fog.

And is the area flooded? (the tree on the left looks to be in water. Yet I thought the other structures were gazebos at the end of docks. So I'm a little confused :blush: )

You lucky one. That one composed itself nicely! You really managed to capture it in the right moment. Reminds me of my pic from the Taurus Mountains in Turkey, but that one can only be viewed "over there".

Nice catch Tam. My first impression of this was very Alfred Hitchcockish. Im waiting to see a top hatted guy at the end of one of those little piers there.

It's hard enough finding this sort of shot let alone taking it out the window of a (I'm assuming) moving train! :shock:

Thanks to all of you! To answer some of your questions, yes, the train was moving, so I am as amazed as you are that it turned out ok. As for the trees in the water, they are cypress trees and they grow only in water, usually in swamps or wetlands, but sometimes near the shores of lakes, as in this image. You're right about the docks; and the man-made structures at the ends are gazebos and boat houses. I have tons of pictures of cypress swamps in my galleries. They are beautiful and possibly unique to our region.
