So Hard- Sass Jordan.
I have my mp3 player set on random, with about 800 songs uploaded to it. Great to have a commercial free, disk jockey free radio. :boogie:

Last thing I heard was Haydn on the radio. When it's off, I play blues /folk /country on guitar. The last recognizable thing I can remember playing was "To Live Is to Fly" by Townes Van Zandt.

Didn't Steve Earl just record a collection of Van Zandt stuff?

Yeah. Earle has said that Townes Van Zandt was the best songwriter in the US, and there's something to be said for that view.

The last song I heard was my partner singing one of his songs "I've been better, but it cost me more". I sang along.

It's quiet now.

"The last song I heard was my partner singing one of his songs 'I've been better, but it cost me more'. I sang along." Lars is a dynamite musician. Wish I were there to hear him.

"Willin' - Linda Ronstadt." Fine song. I've played that one.

James Blunt....Goodbye my lover.

You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your hand.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.

Goodbye my lover.

Man, this thread is making me feel old. The last few CDs I can remember playing were all by musicians whom I know. The last CDs by anyone famous I can remember playing were by old farts like Leonard Cohen, Steve Earle and Levon Helm. I'm reading the names of all these groups without much recognition.

Sorry to make you feel old with this thread. Don't worry believe it or not I have Frank Sinatra, Bill Evans and more in my collection. I love most all music. But I must say my favorite is hard rock. :)
