Petrified Forest

My weekend was a complete 180 from were it started! I thought I was going to San Diego to visit my sick grandmother, but her conditions improved. Instead, I joined my neighbors for a quick trip to the mountains for lunch, but we wound up at the Petrified Forest. It is a 5 hour drive one way. We made it there an hour before closing - so we had the "speed zoo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzqD8On9nxA)" experience there.

What an interesting, rather desolate looking spot.

I like the textures of the wood and the dirt, and those great long shadows. Good work.
