Thanks Anty. I've been collecting all oddities, some didn't even make it to the site. I like the rarer, more interesting stuff.

Where in Arizona is Ahwatukee? I thought I knew all the towns. Make it to Kanab there is a hole in the wall camera shop that once you start looking you will go crazy in there. Also I have to get my friend "Critter to mas all of his old camera gear in one place. I picked most of it up from old abandoned houses and dumps where people didn't care about them anymore. He has a staggering collection of stuff, but the cameras, tintypes, photos and such capture my attention. I'm in So Utah right by Zion Natinal Park. so not to far from Az.

I'm off to Hong Kong a week on Wednesday - wonder what I could find over there?

Mitica- hello!
Jeez...what a fun collection you've started! :big grin:
I'll have to find the time to post a couple of my old beauties...Don't own a digi camera so it may be sometime before I can shoot, process, and post.

Ahwatukee is just a suburb of Phoenix, in the SE area by the South Mountain, to be correct.
Yeah, I know well the camera shop in Kanab, I travel twice a year through that place on my way to and from Jackson Hole, WY. Very enchanting little place.

Thanks Brad! I started with some regular box cameras and a Graflex D then moved up little by little to the rarer ones. My few 'prides' are long gone now. I had a Kodak Ektra kit, body w/two backs, four lenses, viewers, filters, IB and original case, very hard to find (they only made 2,000), also a 1933 Contax F marked 'For China' in perfect condition, an 1895 No.2 Kodak Bulls Eye folding (rare) which found its way to a Kodak curator and it's in a museum right now.
I'm always interested in the lesser known, rarer cameras.

OK anohter place that has a lot of old cameras on display is the camera shop in Vegas. It is on East Tropicana not far past the airport. I can't recall the name at the moment, I just seem to auto pilot it to the place. Come the real spring up here once the snow is not a possible threat, I'll get Critter to amass his stuff. I know one guy in Tonapah NV that is dying to go through his things. He doesn't worry about being robbed. He keeps his stuff in a series of old trailer homes that are guarded by snakes he leaves loose in there. He knows how to handle the snakes and where they mostly hang out inside. I for one will not go in unless he has cleared the way first. Snakes and I do not mix.
