I like this! There is something about the pedestrian's clothing that tricks the mind into believing this could be an image from an era much earlier than 2006 - it has quite the retro feel. Nice.

As a B&W it is showing up a little flat on my monitor.

I have to agree with Terri that there is a lack of contrast on my monitor as well. Did you happen to take another shot in this position in portrait orientation?

Yes, it is just this tiny bit on the "grey"-side here, but I like it and share Terri's feelings about it seeming to be much older than three years. I should undig my pics from Paris... I was there once in my life. That was in 1983/84 (for New Years Eve and the New Year).

I like how the treeline leads my eye into the shot. And I too was struck by how the clothing (especially on the lady in the right foreground) makes me think the photo was taken much longer ago than in '06. Lucky you, getting to travel so much!

Its a little flat alright, shot as a JPEG, only converted to RAW about a year ago. This is one of my early 'crap' shots. Just thought I would post it before deleting it from my laptop.
