Sorry, but in these grey winter days (I've seen the first crocusses in our front garden, so there is hope it'll be over soon!), I caught another bout of droplet disease.

I worked with all kinds of different backgrounds to produce colour, lights (apart from the flash), and here also a pink towel as "sink lining" to shine through the transparent salad bowl and give me a colour from below.

I found out that things work best with the whacky "ol'" Sigma lens in its macro settings, which, however, gives me a razor thin DOF only, even at f13 ... so here the "riser" fell out of focus, but the droplet is in focus (which is strange as you'd expect the water to drip and land in the very same plane... ), but the drip-drops in the wave are in focus...

What do you say?

Wonderful - I don't know how you find the time and patience to achieve this!

Uh Oh.... I'm feeling the difficulty swallowing, watery eyes and twitchy fingers.......known symptons of the early stages of this malady.

Nice shots Corrina. Likeing the colors you used, but am curious of all those circles.

[Dammit, Corinna, don't you know it's contagious???]

Nice one! I especially like the yellow running through all that lovely green

Oh, I should have taken a photo of the set-up. Sorry, I didn't. This one (and all the many others I took) were taken in the upstairs bathroom. I used my usual transparent salad bowl again, and the background was a plastic picnic box, the sink was "lined" with a pink towel, and the mirror lights were on (in addition to the flash I used). They give the yellow streaks on the box (which you cannot recognise as the box that it is). It also collected a good many drops which stuck to it - would I need to clone them out, you think? I'm too lazy and would rather leave them there.

I had no idea you went through such an intricate setup for these! That explains all the pretty backgrounds and splashes of colors you get.

Neat!

This is so cool! I love that splash of pink at the bottom! :cheer:

You really should set it all up again so you can document your set up... sort of a "behind the scenes" look at things.

This is totally beautiful. The bright colours really make this one.
I gotta give this a shot one day. :big grin:
