In my second or third childhood I still get pleasure from a bag of stale bread, a river and birds to feed. I joined the mothers, grandmothers and toddlers feeding the swans and ducks by the river at St Ives whilst my wife investigated the sales . . . I got the best deal!

Who can resist a swan in the viewfinder?

Even tried to wash my boots!
I was hand feeding them - interior of the bill is serrated but no damage done to fingers.

How fun! I'd stand there with you till the bread was gone. I keep a sack of cracked corn in my closet for the occasional yard invasion we get from geese. :) I bet swans and ducks would love it, too.

I think my fave here is the next-to-last image, just love that perfect drop hanging from his bill.

That was the first one of a large collection of images from the morning that I opened in "Devolop" in Lightroom and printed as a postcard for a granddaughter.

The first shot of the bridge is beautiful. Nice captures of the swans too. I'm sure your granddaughter loved the postcard. Thanks for posting.

The first shot, with the bridge, is so lovely, and 'typical' of towns I've seen in England (so it brings back pleasant memories). The lighting is nice too, and great clouds.
